Our Leadership

Servants Who Shepherd the Family

From our worldwide Chairman to the pastors who care for local assemblies, our leaders share one calling — to serve God's people with humility, wisdom, and love.

Worldwide leadership

The shepherd of a global family

The Church of Pentecost Australia is part of the worldwide Church of Pentecost, led by its Chairman from Accra, Ghana.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye

Chairman, The Church of Pentecost (Worldwide)

Apostle Eric Nyamekye is the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost worldwide, leading the global church from its international headquarters in Accra, Ghana. He was re-elected to this role in May 2023 and champions the church's Possessing the Nations vision, which calls every member to become an agent of transformation in their community.

How we are organised

One vision, faithfully shepherded

Leadership in The Church of Pentecost flows from the worldwide church to the local assembly, so that every member is known and cared for.

Worldwide Chairman

The global church is led by a Chairman from the international headquarters in Accra, Ghana, carrying one shared vision to more than 170 nations.

National Head

In Australia, the church is overseen by a National Head — an ordained Apostle appointed by the international leadership to shepherd the work across the nation.

District Pastors

District Pastors care for the local districts and assemblies, walking closely with members and nurturing the next generation of leaders.

Our leadership culture

Raising leaders from the ground up

In The Church of Pentecost, leadership is never about title or privilege. We believe God raises leaders from among ordinary people — and we look first at character, faithfulness, and calling, rather than status.

That is why every leader is also a mentor. From the youngest volunteer to the most seasoned minister, we are committed to equipping the next generation to step into all that God has for them.

  • Chosen by character

We raise leaders from the ground up, choosing them by their faithfulness and calling rather than position or status.

  • Servant-hearted

Our leaders lead by serving — caring for people first, and modelling the humility and love of Christ.

  • Growing the next generation

Every leader is also a mentor, equipping younger believers to step into their own God-given callings.
